In line with government regulations and the ECB, recreational cricket commenced on Saturday 11th July with a intra club game between the Captain’s XI and the Treasurer’s XI.

The Chairman’s XI batted first and were in sorts of trouble at 12-3. However, Guy Kemsley and Thomas Lenham both batted beautifully to retire on 37 and 35 respectively. Some late runs from Andy Vale ensured that a total of 132 was scored from 30 overs.

In reply, the Treasurer’s XI lost John Burbidge early on, but Adam Nix and Alex Coles eased their way to their allotted 35 runs. Howard Alexander added 24 later on to ensure the victory target was reached with 3 overs to spare.
