This Saturday TMCC visited Ash near Brands Hatch for a 40 over friendly.
After Adam Nix won the toss and opted to bat first, he opened the batting with Richard Sims. The pair were going along very nicely with Richard being the aggressor. However, he then hit a leg side delivery straight to deep square leg when well placed on 38.
Adam continued to play well, and after the loss of Harry Kemsley for 4, Malcolm Tunnicliff came in and upped the run rate with some textbook shots. Both players brought up their fifties, with Malcolm out plumb LBW for 52 soon after.
Adam was then dismissed trying to accelerate for 85 with TMCC finishing on 202-4.
TMCC kept it tight early on and were rewarded with a wicket a piece for Harry and Malcolm. Al Ramsay and Ben Ramsay then took 3 wickets each as Ash struggled with some accurate and consistent bowling.
At 82-8 they were well behind the rate, but with TMCC needing two wickets for a win, Ash blocked out the remaining overs to see out a draw.
