A thrilling end to a timed game and some exceptional performances saw Town Malling Saturday 1st XI beat Borden by 127 runs.Fifties for both Steve Marsh (55) & GK (51*) partnered Thomas Lenham to his maiden century. A fantastic batting display he carried his bat for 109 no. Well done Thomas, a well deserved ton and no doubt the first of many.

In reply, Borden were never in the hunt. Tight bowling and despite early wickets by Al  (2-18) Simon (2-21) with the last 20 overs announced we still needed 6 wickets to win. Steve Marsh knocked over one (1-2) before limping off with a calf strain. Needing 5 wickets in the remaining 6 overs up steps Howard to spin out three (3-3) to add to his stunning slip catch he put in a near match winning performance.
The headlines however have to go to “Ton” Lenham, he superbly yorked Borden best batsmen (B Sanders 58) hitting middle stump & secure the win with just seven balls remaining.
